It was just about a month ago that Marilyn Manson surprised audiences at the Revolver Golden Gods by having Johnny Depp play guitar on stage. (I almost wrote “Marilyn Manson shocked audiences” but felt that sentence had no place in the common world anymore.) Random occurrence? Nope. Johnny Depp plays guitar on a track for Manson’s new album “Born Villain,” out next week.
Listen to the collaboration — a cover of “You’re So Vain” — after the jump, as well as watch video from the Manson/Depp show appearance. Video includes Manson calling Depp his “personal savior” and encouraging the crowd to acknowledge how cool their friendship is. One actual cool note about this whole thing is that the free Damien Echols of West Memphis 3 notoriety introduced Manson on stage that night.
