Today, the first film in director/producer Michael Corrente’s (American Buffalo, Outside Providence) 2007 ScareRI ScreamWriting Competition finally begins shooting. The script, written by Rhode Island resident Carl Dupre (of Detroit Rock City and Hellraiser: Hell World credits), stars Robert Englund as a demon – Inkubus – who has a score to settle with a detective working the skeleton crew of a near closed down police station. William Forsythe, Joey Fatone, and Jonathan Silverman round out part of the cast. Dupre’s script beat out 319 other entries as the winner. Glen Ciano, who collaborated on the script, is set to direct. (more…)
