It’s… ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ Trailer Day!

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

June 30, 2010, the latest in the Twilight teenchise  takes over theaters, and Summit’s given the trailer for peeps to obsess over starting… today. I am near 100% positive that this will be the best of the movies, so far, because the trailer gives actual story and a range in facial expressions. The one thing it doesn’t show is what will appeal more to fans of vampires/werewolves/etc. which is that the script has dozens and dozens of decapitations in it. Seriously, like a decapitation every five pages. Official decapitation count coming soon. For now, check the trailer. (more…)

Long Lost Grindhouse ‘Gone With The Pope’ Gets Final Edit

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Gone With The Pope“We’re snatchin’ the Pope.” In 1975, cameras rolled on Gone With The Pope, starring Duke Mitchell. But when Duke died, so did any chances of completing the B-movie follow up to Massacre Mafia Style. Now, thirty five years later, film editor Bob Murawski (an editor who’s creds include Drag Me To Hell) has put the final touches on the uncompleted movie, and it’s getting its night in the spotlight on March 12, at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. Nightmare on Elm Street - Remake - PosterLast night, I saw the semi-entertaining The Crazies. One of the best parts of The Crazies? The astounding Nightmare on Elm Street trailer that came attached to it. While initially bellyaching about this remake, I totally marked for the trailer, and now am pumped. If you missed the debut a few days back, check it out now. The Nightmare on Elm Street remake comes to theaters April 30. (more…)

Four New Clips: ‘Tucker & Dale vs. Evil’

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

Tucker & Dale vs. EvilAfter Tucker & Dale vs. Evil’s Sundance premiere this January, reviewers commended the horror-comedy for being just as clever as the original trailer promised. (The story follows two harmless rednecks on vacation, who get mistaken as murderous rednecks by a group of college kids. Read Cinematical or Film School Rejects reviews.) More will get a chance to check the movie out in March, as part of SXSW’s midnight line-up. But for the majority of us who can’t make the trek to Austin, we’ve got four new clips to give us a taste of some hillbilly humor.

‘Of Dolls And Murder’ Documentary: How Barbie Kickstarted Forensics

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

Of Dolls And Murder - StillWe’re all familiar with TV’s version of crime scene forensics. A bunch of suited up guys in sunglasses perusing homes, followed by some lab geeks – again, usually male, running tests. That the pulse of modern day forensics started with dollhouses and a woman named Frances Glessner Lee seems contrary to all we currently see. Except it’s true. (more…)

Second Trailer For ‘Locked In’

When the original trailer popped up this October for the Ben Barnes/Eliza Dushku psych-thriller Locked In, a lot of the general consensus was the movie looked cool – but no one could figure out what the hell it was about. This new trailer shows more plot. (more…)

Hit Girl in Kick Ass

Hit Girl in Kick Ass

I will post about Kick Ass all year until it comes out in April if they keep rolling out trailers like this. We’ve now got a new trailer devoted solely to the character of Hit Girl and it’s kind of astounding. I’m anticipating this one in a huge way, and hopefully all the charm for this movie isn’t being crammed into the trailers – and there will still be loads more insanity to discover in the actual movie. Will you see this?
