Aaron Stoquert: Run For Your Life!

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

Aaron_040211_0204Aaron Stoquert has written the perfect Zombie soundtrack. If you like Nick Cave and Tom Waits haunting style this will be right up your alley. As I write this the lyrics “Think of us as the world dies” flow like blood out of my Bose ear buds. I highly recommend purchasing anything Aaron has to offer to support his sheer understanding of mood and aural texture.

If you do not see Aaron’s name in the credits of an HBO series soon something’s wrong with the world…

Listen to what he has to offer here

Trollhunter? Anybody?

Monday, July 4th, 2011

trollhunterI was just watching the trailer for this film and had to ask myself do I want to see it? So now I’m asking you. Do I want to see it? I would like to hear from anyone paying attention to SCARS if I should drop a dime and watch this? It looks awesome but I’ve been duped by the awesomeness of trailers before. I now rest the fate of me seeing this movie in your hands, also I want to see if any of you really are reading these. :-)

New Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes Trailer

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

Rise Quad PosterAnyone who knows me knows I’m a huge Apes/Kong fan and will know I felt a bit queezy when I heard they were making this film.  Remakes and prequels have been really scary to me lately and especially one with James Franco(not a fan).  I will admit after seeing this trailer I have hopped on the band wagon for this one.

Take a look at the trailer and I’m sure you’ll agree.  1, 2, 3 jump!

Nancy McDonald At Lovecraft’s Grave

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

lovecraft“Do you have to open grave to find girls to fall in love with?” Not in RI you don’t! If you were in the Providence area in the later part of 2010 you could have stumbled upon Nancy McDonald’s body!  Nancy was busy filming Infected with Michael Madsen and William Forsythe. She’s an up and coming force in the genre and we really think you should pay attention to this girl. If you look hard youcan alsofind her in the upcoming Emmanuelle In Wonderland by Rolfe Kanefsky. We’ll be covering that film as well in the near future.

We asked Nancy about her role in Infected:

I was originally assigned a more significant role as an omnipresent zombie who provokes the central characters into action. But the scenario was altered upon my arrival on the Rhode Island locations. I was subsequently cast as an undead hotty (christened “Daisy Duke”) who is quickly dispatched by an irate Michael Madsen. Shotgun to the stomach! I was no longer a sinister presence but just one of forty zombies! The core of the “assault on the house” climax was shot in the extreme cold (late October during the advent of winter).

See more Nancy after the jump.

Apocalyptic Horror Film- PHASE 7 – Hits Theatres Jul 13th

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

Phase7_OneSheetWhat caught my attention right away about this trailer was SOD(Storm Troopers Of Death for all you youngsters) the 80s Anthrax side band featuring Scott Ian and Billy Milano, prominently feature both musically and in tee shirt form!  I will check this out just because of that!  I remember how excited I was when I watched The River’s Edge and heard Slayer dominate the car rides in that film!

See the trailer and Bloody-Disgusting’s complete theater lis after the jump!
