Apparently an ANONYMOUS SOURCE who has been working close to Justin Bieber slipped this to Movieweb: Justin Bieber would like to model his career after Mark Wahlberg’s. And he thinks the best way to do this would be to star in a remake of 1996’s Fear. Like most people, Fear is one of my favorite guilty pleasures of all time, so the idea of a remake to me is abhorrent. But then the article said this.
“There are currently no plans to remake Fear, released by Universal Pictures in 1996. But Justin Bieber is rumored to be obsessed with the movie.”
I never thought there was a single thing on the planet that could make Justin Bieber interesting to me. Except that. That someone with all the star power of Justin Bieber is fascinated by Fear. And that he thinks that this is the best way to transition into film. OF ALL THE MOVIES. Oh my god, that just makes me think Justin Bieber is crazy! He is so much more complex than I ever realized!
The ANONYMOUS SOURCE also speculates that Bieber is pursuing the rights to the film himself, and that it would be toned down to a PG-13. Which would defeat the whole point. Balls to the wall, Bieber. It don’t count for nothing without rollercoaster violations, decapitated dogs, and carved chest declarations of NICOLE 4-EVA.
