I’ll be honest, it looks okay and seems to be faithful (too faithful even) to Carpenter’s version, which makes me wonder what the point is. Remakes like this are such a gamble because most of them are just given a repolish with some cool new effects added, and that doesn’t cut it with me.

But I’ll reserve final judgement until I have viewed it for myself (which is all any of us can do at the end of the day) and pray that it doesn’t suck ass. I really want to be proven wrong because I love both the original and Carpenter’s version so much.
