Since March 15, 1987, Lovecraft enthusiasts have gathered together to celebrate the tentacled life of H.P. Lovecraft (August 20, 1890 – March 15, 1937), in his home of Providence, Rhode Island. The tradition continues this year on Sunday, March 14, at the Ladd Observatory. (Read about Lovecraft’s relationship with the Observatory.) Historian Christian Henry Tobler hosts the event, from 3:00-4:00PM. Afterwards, all are invited to sojourn over to Swan Point Cemetery and visit Lovecraft’s gravesite.
