The ‘Plants vs. Zombies’ Phenomenon – Music Video and Free Preview

Plants vs. ZombiesMore proof that zombies equal dollar signs* comes from the camp at PopCap: their game, Plants vs. Zombies, has become iPhone’s fastest selling product – ever. In the nine days since its debut on the iPhone platform, the battlefield between vegetation and the undead, has sold over 300,000 units. Or, in cents and dollars, over  1 million.

Not having a chance to check out the game myself, I can only trust the masses opinion that there’s something special about it. And then of course… there’s this officially sanctioned Plants vs. Zombies music video. Which features lyrics like…

“I’m just a sunflower but see / me power an entire infantry / You like the taste of brains / we don’t like zombies.”

(Watch the Plants vs. Zombies music video below.)

Anyway, if you’ve played it Plants vs. Zombies, holler back. Awesome? Cheesy? Cheesy-awesome? You can also check out the free Plants vs. Zombies preview online.

*A phenomenon first noticed in 2004, when the Dawn of the Dead remake was the movie-that-could outrank The Passion of the Christ at the box offices. Leading to one of my favorite newspaper headlines ever, “ZOMBIES TOPPLE CHRIST.”
