Variety’s given the details on a deal between Sci-fi sage Ray Bradbury and White Oak Films to develop a mini-series based off six of Bradbury’s short stories. There’s still lots left to pan out – the series doesn’t yet have a network home, and the shorts haven’t been selected. Bradbury, who’s donning exec. producer duty along with White Oak partner John Dayton, will play a hand at picking which stories will be adapted. Each of the six episodes will be made by a different director.
Bradbury adaptations have a long legacy, with re-creations in the annals of EC Comics and Alfred Hitchcock Presents, amongst a slew of films. The author is arguably best known for Farenheit 451 and Something Wicked This Way Comes.
