Lots of new web series popping up this week. Sure, the talk of the town may be that zombies/Napoleon Dynamite project (watch it here), but Splatter is where it’s REALLY at. The product of a collabo from B-movie demigod Roger Corman and his former protege-turned-awesome-director Joe Dante (Gremlins, The Howling), Splatter stars Corey Feldman, and will be streamed for free on Netflix starting Halloween. This will be Netflix’s first attempt at a webseries. It’s also Corey’s first time re-teaming with Joe Dante since the almighty The ‘Burbs, and is his fourth project with Corman.
The official teaser for Splatter has been released and it’s… different. Possibly exactly what you’d predict from a Corman-Dante-Feldman mash-up. On his official blog, Corey Feldman had this to say about the teaser:
The material is graphic in nature, and parental discretion is strongly advised….this is a pretty shocking 30 second clip you will see. Please make sure you remove small children before reviewing this teaser.
Is Splatter shocking in the way Feldman describes it? Y/N? Or shocking in a way he simply can’t imagine?
