Making a big week even bigger for subcultures coast-to-coast, Blizzard posted a press release today on the director of their colossally anticipated Warcraft movie… SAM RAIMI.
Citing Raimi’s success with the Spiderman franchise as a key-reason to have him tackle the fanaticism that surrounds the Warcraft universe, Legendary Pictures CEO Thomas Tull also noted, “Sam’s passion for ‘Warcraft’ is undeniable.” Legendary Pictures is partnered with Blizzard Entertainment to release the film.
Most would agree with the success of Drag Me To Hell, Raimi should be on his A-Game going into production. No further news has been posted on cast or a release date.
“At its core, Warcraft is a fantastic, action-packed story,” said Raimi. “I am thrilled to work with such a dynamite production team to bring this project to the big screen.”
